Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 Installed Failed to Update.

The installer will fail to update despite repetitive tries. The solution to this is: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio Delete the Installer Folder. Close all the instances of Visual Studio (all versions), if exist. Start afresh by installing vs_community__941523033.1489047009.exe or equivalent. Available here. This will install the installer again. Relaunch the installer.
